Welcome to Evolve Academy.

We are an all through (KS1 – KS4) alternative provision in Lambeth, providing education for pupils who, because of exclusion, illness or other reasons, would not otherwise receive suitable education; education arranged by schools for pupils on a fixed period exclusion; and pupils being directed by schools to off-site provision to improve their behaviour. We have two sites – an SEMH site in West Norwood and a PRU site in Kennington. We also work directly with schools, offering respite placements on both sites across the key stages.

Many of our learners have had an interrupted education on arrival, due to regular fixed term exclusions and disruptive behaviour, or SEN needs that have not been met or identified. We are keen to encourage our students to develop their consequential thinking, and to take responsibility for their behaviour and its consequences. We set clear rules, boundaries and expectations and they all have a consequence.

We believe that every child deserves a second chance, and we hope that through personalised support, all of our students will realise their potential.

Academic achievement is an important currency for our learners, and we strive to find a qualification that engages everyone. We hope that this approach will encourage them to become lifelong learners, and allow them to access mainstream education post 16.

Evolve Academy also manages The Schoolroom at King’s College Hospital, and Rockbourne Park, a primary AP run for Lewisham local authority.
